Join Globe researchers Eske Willerslev and Aviâja Lyberth Hauptmann at Københavns Folkeuniversitet for a conversation exploring what Greenland can teach us about the world.

Together, they will explore the Greenlandic concept of sila, a word that refers to mind, weather and planet, with the understanding that they are one and the same. Their conversation will reflect on what natural science can tell us, and what it might need to learn to listen to.

Both researchers bring different perspectives shaped by their experiences and connections to Greenland. Eske Willerslev has travelled and conducted research in Greenland over the course of his career, while Aviaja Lyberth Hauptmann has established the first natural sciences program of Greenland.
