Vin & Videnskab: Talk on bacteriophages

Vin & Videnskab is putting on a talk in Danish about the future of medical sciences and the cutting-edge breakthroughs that could change the way we fight disease. 

Four scientists will present some of the latest breakthroughs and insights from their fields of research, with a focus on disease treatments involving T-cells, RNA vaccines, and bacteriophages.

Bent Petersen from The Center of Hologenomics, will share his research on bacteriophages—viruses that target and destroy harmful bacteria, offering hope in the battle against antibiotic-resistant infections.

Professor Allan Randrup Thomsen will introduce a nasal spray that boosts our immune defenses, offering a new way to prevent respiratory infections like flu, RSV, and COVID-19.

Mette Galsgaard Malle will take us into the world of RNA vaccines, the technology behind COVID-19 vaccines, and share how her team is advancing this tool to fight even more diseases.

Finally, Karin Schiøler will discuss the rising threat of dengue fever, a tropical disease now spreading to new regions, and how we can protect ourselves from this growing global health concern.
