Finding your presentation style - NerdNite workshop

Nerd Nite CPH

Project and Outreach Manager Ana R.A. Veríssimo from Center for Evolutionary Hologenomics is hosting a Nerd Nite workshop in HusetKBH on finding your presentation style, which you can find a description for below. The event is free and open for everyone, but there is a limited number of seats available, so make sure to sign up!

Check out the event on Facebook here.

There are many workshops out there that teach what to put on your slides, how to be less nervous, how to use simpler words, etc. So, we're not doing that!
And... sometimes, you don't even need slides!
This workshop is aimed at those who would like to improve their confidence in presenting, while finding their unique style. One that represents who they are and what they are about and that makes them feel comfortable and confident rather than trying to be a character they think the audience will like but does not feel right to play.
So, after this 2-hour workshop, you will be able to know more clearly who you are (you can develop a public speaker persona that is still you) what is your message and your audience. Spoiler alert: your audience is usually not "everyone" or "anyone" and that is just fine and how it should be!
The shift we'll be trying to make here is that you find out that being you is awesome and your audience will be more engaged than if you try to be someone else. Everyone wins! And we will put that to the test with a little exercise. And maybe do a graph. We're nerds after all!

The location will be the Stardust room at Huset KBH, which is the perfect setting outside work!
